DERMAL FILLERS

Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in human skin but it diminishes as skin matures. Dermal fillers introduce volume, firmness & support where it has been lost, it also binds to water and rehydrates the area of skin injected.

Effects can last 6 to 12 months Dermal Fillers introduce volume to soften facial lines and creases or to enhance an area where volume has been lost. Effects can last between 6 and 12 months.

Lips, lipstick lines - to enhance or define your lips and soften fine lines around your lips.

Nasolabial folds - to soften the lines between the sides of your nose and the edges of your lips.

Frown lines - to soften deep lines in your forehead.

This is a very important beginning to your aesthetic journey. You can discuss where you would like to enhance or refresh your face. We can discuss the various options of treatment, discuss preparation for your treatment appointment, how to care for your skin afterwards and the cost.

AFTERCARE TIPS FOR DERMAL FILLERS

For a few hours

Your skin will be red around the area of injection, also white due to anaesthetic cream/injection.

For at least 12 hours after treatment

Avoid make-up (especially creams) over injection site.

Reduce bruising by applying ice or cover it up with concealer the next day.

For the first 24 hours after treatment

Lumps can be massaged (between finger & thumb).

Do not massage lumps that you can’t see.

For 2 - 3 days after treatment

You may have numbness and/or tingling in injected area.

Superficial lines in face can be “highlighted” in pink/red post treatment.

You will have swelling and asymmetry lips due to the vascularity of the lips.

Avoid intense heat (sunbathing, solarium or sauna) until redness has resolved.

If you suffer from cold sores, this could cause an eruption at the injection site.

If you take Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Warfarin or similar medication, you may have increased bleeding and bruising at the injection site.

Dermal Fillers dissolve overtime, but usually last for over 7 months to 1 year.
